MFPI PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT
This is to officially state that the Mountaineering Federation of the Philippines Inc. or MFPI :
• HAS NOT sought permit from the Mt. Banahaw-San Cristobal Protected Landscape Park Superintendent’s office to climb the Tayabas side of Mt. Banahaw on Oct 11-12, 2014.
• DOES NOT have any scheduled “Friendship Ecological Climb Activity” in Barangay Lalo, Tayabas City, Quezon Province
The scheduled climb on Oct. 11-12, 2014 on the Tayabas side of Mt. Banahaw for which the permit (shown below) was issued for a group of 16 climbers is in NO WAY connected to MFPI.
May the public be aware and be protected from adventure organizers who choose to misrepresent and mislead clients and guests who join their trips in good faith.
By the way, Park Superintendent Salud of the Mt. Banahaw-San Cristobal Protected Landscape has already been informed about this. Permit has been cancelled.

Nueva Viscaya Mountaineering Society, Inc., with help of the Department of Tourism and Nueva Vizcaya LGU, hosts the 8th MFPI Luzon Summit this coming May 30 to June 2 at Camp AGBAPER, Bayombong, Nueva Vizcaya.

First MFPI Kids Camp
Announcing the first ever MFPI Kids Camp, an fun filled event aiming to engage kids aged 6 to 16 in learning basic outdoor skills through various activities such as:
Tent Pitching
Land Navigation
Shelter Building
Rappel
Wall Climbing
Zip line
Group Dynamics/Games
Lectures on Leave No Trace and the 3R (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) Principles will also be given.
Venue is at Kampo Trexo, Alfonso, Tagaytay (see map) on 2013 April 20-21.
Registration Fee/Kid: Php 750 is inclusive of the following:
