This is an invitation to the 4th National All Women-Climb.
It is with humble plea that we ask for your understanding and patience and support for this year’s AWC. The organizers have prepared a fun and relaxing activity this year, focusing on team building, camaraderie and bonding among women mountaineers all over the country. We hope that you could join us and make this year’s gathering productive and fruitful for the outdoor community and ourselves.

October 24-27, 2005
Mt. Hibok-Hibok, Camiguin Island
October 24 (Monday)
AM – Arrival of participants / Registration (Paras Beach Resort)
NOTE: The resort has given us a super discounted rate of P500/pax for 2-nights stay. It is for a dormitory-type (air-conditioned) accommodation with free use of the resort amenities, function room and inclusive of one (1) free breakfast. However, if the participant is financially constrained, there is a nearby school which can serve as an alternative campsite for us. But we strongly suggest you avail of the discount for a more secure and relaxed stay before the climb proper.
PM 4:00 – Welcome Program / Orientation / Briefing
6:00 – Dinner (Hosted sana – we’re still working on it)
7:00 – 10:00 – Plenary (Topic open for suggestions. Suggestions: Vision, Mission, Goal Setting; Gender Sensitivity; Organizational Structure Formation)
October 25 (Tuesday)
AM 5:30 – White Island (P30.00/pax)
8:00 – Island Tour / Team Building (Walkway, Sunken Cemetery, Old Church, Sto. Niño Cold Spring, J and L Fishpen, Katibawasan Falls, Mambajao proper)
PM 4:00 – Free time
6:00 – Dinner
8:00 – Program – Group Production Number (or resume discussions)

October 26 (Wednesday)
AM 8:00 – ETD for Yumbing (jump-off for Mt. Hibok-Hibok)
PM 4:00 – ETA campsite (crater lake)
7:00 Miss AWC 2005 – “Baji Hibok-hibok”
1) extraordinary talent – 25%
2) amazing guts (courage) – 25%
3) audience impact and support – 25%
4) spectacular costume – 10%
5) good answer – 10%
6) smile – 5%
NOTE: Interested candidate must have one extraordinary talent and one spectacular costume to join. That’s all. Great prizes await the candidates.
October 27 (Thursday)
AM 8:00 – Break camp / Start trek to Ardent trail (hot and open trail)
PM 3:00 – ETA Ardent Hot Spring
7:00 – Socials (Hosted dinner) and Closing Program
VENUE: The organizers have not arranged for the final venue for the socials yet. Paras Beach Resort is fully booked at this time. We will be inviting male organizers to help secure the area and assist in the preparation. Also, the LGU will be providing tanods to oversee our safety and security.
October 28 (Friday)
Depart for Home

The AWC is scheduled right after the 20th MFPI Mid-Year Presidents’ Meeting and Training in Camotes, Cebu (Oct.19-22).
Those coming from Cebu may take a direct trip to Camiguin via Shuttle Super Ferry on Friday (but you’ll miss out the socials) or take the boat from Cebu going to CDO on Saturday or Sunday and land travel to Camiguin Island (2 hours from CDO, P200/pax). Moreover, Seair offers regular trips to Camiguin from Cebu. We’re currently negotiating with Seair for discounts, so stay tuned for updates. We will send travel advisory on trips, discounts and schedules as soon as sponsorship confirmations are submitted.
